We started Sheets & Cells because Excel help online is either shallow, paywalled, or scattered across hundreds of old forum posts. Meanwhile, AI has fundamentally changed what a spreadsheet can do — but nobody had combined comprehensive reference content with modern AI tooling. We set out to build both, in one place, for everyone.
Every Excel function documented. Every common error explained. Two hundred downloadable .xlsx templates. Ten free interactive tools powered by Claude AI. Forty long-form guides. Plus a companion Excel Add-in that lives inside your ribbon and generates formulas from natural language, explains errors in one click, and gives you a Claude-powered chat assistant that reads your selected range. All coming together over the next twelve months.

Our team
Sheets & Cells is built by a small but dedicated team of researchers, writers, developers, and video producers working under the Zarrar Tech umbrella. Every function guide and error page is written by our internal editorial team, and flagship content is reviewed by Microsoft Excel MVPs before publication — the same review standard used by Microsoft's own documentation.

What we believe
Quality beats quantity — but we can have both
Most Excel content sites are volume plays: thousands of thin, keyword-stuffed pages. We've built hundreds of pages of genuinely useful content instead. Every function tested. Every formula verified. Every template a real .xlsx file that works.
Free content should be truly free
Templates download without email walls. Interactive tools work without signup. Function guides are complete on the page, not teased with paywalls. We monetize through our optional Add-in for users who want AI-powered help — the free content stays permanently free.
AI should be a tool, not a hype cycle
We use AI where it genuinely helps — formula generation, error explanation, custom LAMBDA functions — and don't use AI where it doesn't. Every AI-generated formula in our tools is verifiable. Every content piece is human-written and human-reviewed.
Excel and Google Sheets are peers
Excel-only content sites limit their audience. Google Sheets is used by 200+ million people. We're building comprehensive support for both, starting with Excel through Month 3, then expanding to full Google Sheets coverage. The brand name was chosen deliberately for this dual-platform future.
Our timeline
Q3 2025 — Foundation
Sheets & Cells started under Zarrar Tech. Domain acquired. Editorial standards defined. First research on Excel content gaps completed.
Q4 2025 — Content pipeline
Site structure, homepage, and legal pages published. Content library begins to grow with function guides, error fixes, and templates.
Q1-Q2 2026 — Content scale + Add-in launch
Full Excel function library (500+ pages), 100+ error fix guides, 200 downloadable templates, and 40 pillar guides. The Sheets & Cells Add-in ships to Microsoft AppSource.
Q3-Q4 2026 — Google Sheets + course
Google Sheets support launches. The Excel Mastery Bootcamp course opens. Add-in v2 with team collaboration features. First enterprise customers.
